8 Track Removal - 1969

Trying to disconnect a factory (maybe dealer) installed 8 track and re-connect my AM radio.

It was easy enough to unplug the harnesses that ran through the console. Now, of course, the radio won't work because the power went through the 8 Track before it hit the radio.

Going a little crazy trying to figure out how to connect the power and speaker harnesses directly back into the AM radio.

Anyone have a clue???

Hi, Guys. Made some progress but can't quite get my AM radio to work after unplugging the 8 track. Seems that I do OK until I get to the 3 prong connector coming from the 8 track. Once disconnected, the radio loses power. Can't seem to figure out how to get power back to the radio without reconnecting this plug back into the 8 track. No place to hook it into the radio as the radio has only one plug into it.

If anyone is still following this thread, I'd appreciate your help!!! Some pics attached. Thanks
