69 re-wiring help!

I have a 69 ss that im re-wiring with a summit universal kit. I am having trouble with the wiring in the dash. I need some type of specific wiring diagrams or a book of some sort that helps me with things such as... heater plug, windshild wipers/ wiper plug, basically all the dash plugs. For instance, on the heat/air controls it has a plug that has 5 wires coming off of it but in my harness I only have one wire for heat/air controls. I have heard the Assembly Instruction Manual would help me ? I need ya'lls input. TIA

I have the Chevrolet "Chassis Service Manual", which is a very good book to have. You can get it at places like Classic Industries, etc.
The schematic does show 5 wires to the heater control switch; brown, yellow, light blue, and 2 oranges (on the same lug).
I don't know how that's going to help you though, if those wires aren't in your new loom?

Thanks I will look at that one. Its more confusing since the wiring kit is "universal".

Yep, "universal" sometimes means good luck making it work, and "some improvising" may be necessary.

Don't know if this will help you but here's some wiring diagrams from the 69 factory instruction manual and from our american autowire kit. At least this way you'll know if you want to shell out the money for the manual or not.

The wipers wiring goes through the main fuse block....there is a hot lead for the wiper motor which then goes to the washer motor and the 3 wires that go from the switch on the dash are grounds...if you have to skip the harness and wire it seperate.

Why not just buy the original replacement harness from Classic Industrie, I did and it was a snap to install. It was ALL correct.
