Default 68 Disc Brake conversion

I have a 68 drum/drum unboosted system currently, and when I bought the car it came with a Wilwood 4 calliper 12 inch front disc conversion kit.
I am wanting to know if the track width changes with the fitments of disc brakes?
I found that after looking at the the disc brakes with a rough measurement from the ball joint position to the face of the wheel mounting position the discs may extend roughly 1.2 inches further out than the drum setup.
I am happy with the offset of my current wheels and don't particularly want to change them if I don't have to, can anybody help??

Cheers,
Ed

I am also interested in knowing this information. I am going to be upgrading the brakes on my 68 as well and this is good to know.

If it is wider then it will come from the spindle. Your disc brake setup should have new spindles with them. The width of the face of the drums and disc should be the same. Just looking at it and trying to eyeball it may be playing tricks on you. The only way to tell for sure may be to take measurements before and after and see where your at. Ive done several factory disc conversions and there is no difference but not sure about a wilwood conversion. If your saying 1.5 inches on each side thats 3 inches, not a small difference.
