Default '68 Convertible Wedge Plates

I purchased a set of Convertible Door Wedge Plates for my '68. They are meant for first Generation Camaros. I am embarresed to say that I do not know where they go.

My car was "restored" before and they probably filled in the holes.

Could someone with a convertible tell me where these wedge plates go and how they are installed.

Picture is attached.

Thanks in advance.

Vic

I have a 68 convertible but mine, I purchased in pieces. Everything was already removed so I am curious too. However, I don't think the holes are filled in. If it comes to it I can take photos of the area you suspect they may go.

Thanks Joesph,
I truly have no idea. Recalling my 442 convertible, the wedge plates were on the door above the striker lock and on the door jamb above the striker post.

But the 442 is a different body style than the Camaro....so I don't expect them to be in the same place.

What is the distance between the two bolt holes?

Joseph,

There are two parts to the wedge plate. A plastic one and a metal one.

The black plastic piece has screw holes that are 3/4" center to center.
The metal one has holes that are 7/8" center to center.

And here is the other side. Holes only. Sorry it took so long. Let me know if you need additional pictures or measurement. Now that I have it all set up it will take no time at all.
