Default '68 Convertible Weatherstrip Gap

I just changed the top weatherstrip on my '68 convertible to the 5 piece type and now I have a 3/4" gap between that and the pillar post weatherstrip (which I did not change out). There is no adjustment possible on the top weatherstrip and I've moved the pillar post weatherstrip as high as I can and still can't close the gap.

I'm out of things to try. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
