Default 68 Camaro gauge cluster

Having an issue getting my fuel gauge to work. Have tested from the sending unit to the gauge and appears the gauge is the issue. Part of my re-build was disassembling components, cleaning and re-building with new parts (replaced the plastic interface “board” on the back of the cluster). Now, everything except the fuel gauge works and it hasn’t worked since I put the unit/car back together. I can move the needle to anywhere on the face of the gauge and it won’t move when voltage is applied. I’m hoping all I did wrong was a re-assembly error but am assuming the gauge is dead. Would anyone have an assembly diagram of the gauge cluster? There are two pieces that I’m not sure where they go—-one is a plastic piece that appears to be seated somewhere around two of the three gauge mounting screws. The other appears to be a flat, metal “jumper” that only fits onto the two mounting screws that the plastic piece sits around. They’ll both fit either underneath or on top of the stand-off screws on the back of the gauge. I’ve tried every combo I can determine but results are always the same. Any advise is appreciated.

I'm not sure if this will be any help to you or not? Only thing is, it's for a 69 but I don't see there being much difference between a 68 and 69.
