Default 4-speed to 5-speed help 68 ss

anybody done a tremec 5-speed conversion in a 68 big block?

Hurst sells a complete kit to do the swap to 5-6 speed. I'm sure if you already have a trans they can sell you part of their kit also.

Any of us can tell you where to find the conversion, but you probably already know that since most anybody who uses the internet knows how to utilize google. I take it what you're really wanting is some first-hand experience/feedback, is that it?

If he follows the link I gave, they have write ups from people who have actually done the installs in 1st gen Camaros. I wasn't posting it just for a place to get a kit. Lots of good info there too.

Looks like if you already have a muncie 4 speed you would only need the Basic kit.

That's correct. If you have any standard shift trans with floor shifter, then you only need the basic kit. It's all pretty straight forward with the instructions and online tech help.
