1969 X55 value
found my dream car locally. 1969 X55 SS. has a 350 w/ 3-speed manual currently, no clue if engine or trans are redone or not. the car itself was a frame off and is maybe 50% complete on a restoration. whole underbody and engine bay are cleaned up and painted, new lines all over, lots of new parts the ad states. jams are painted but body still needs paint. looks complete. haven't gone to see in person yet, just through pictures. what's a fair value for this thing as-is? also, does the x55 verify SS?

lots of views on this but no input. anybody have anything? guys asking 25k and I thought that was a bit steep. car looks like it's gone through and done well, but again I haven't seen in person. I have no clue what they're worth in this state, I see them finished and ready to roll for 40-50 but, that's paying for someone else to do all the leg work and get a finished piece. is 25 too high, average, a steal?!

It also depends on where you live, prices vary a lot from one region of the country to another. $25 sounds steep to me for what I see there, it could easily cost that much again to finish it up. |
thanks for your input. located in northern IL. just wanted to get a rough idea, I realize it's hard to judge something from photots. could get there and it's a mess. but, 25 is a bit high as I thought.
thanks again |
Nice project but alittle steep, maybe $18-20K?
