Default 1969 original tach needle

My needle keeps falling off.....don't want to use anything to adhere it back on without knowing how it's supposed to be held on....exactly how is it supposed to attach....simple friction fit?

Thanks...

ya the shaft is slightly bigger than the needle... id suggest replacing it rather than gluing it on just in case you need to remove it

Right, the needle should be a press fit onto the shaft. Does the needle go on slightly snug, but not tight, or is it way loose and it'll fall off if you look at it cross-eyed? If it just needs a tad more tightness, I'd give a little dab of loctite in the hole, and make sure you're pushing it on all the way.

Yeah.....comes off from normal driving so I guess I'd say it's pretty loose. I'll try some non-permanent loctite or similar adhesive.
