To fix the pic's try this www.resize2mail.com/

The price could actually go either way. For 2k you get the car. If there were pic's it would be easier to assess the damage. You dont need a 454 (although it would be nice) You can get a decent 350 for 1k. And do it slowly, take your time and do alot of it yourself and it will be cheaper. If you buy a 'partial' or 'needs a little work' car you will almost deffinetly run into the same problems, these cars are almost 40, so there is going to be ageing. I have about 14k into mine now and am doing it all myself but the paint and some body, I figgure (realisticaly sp) abour another 4k and it will be done.

If you haven't done this sort of work before, you need to factor in things like tools. Doing bodywork requires a lot of specialty items (welder, long reach vise grips, hammers and dollys). Long story short, plan your budget carefully, then add 30% on top of that for unknown parts and supplies. Also, if you plan to do a good share of the work yourself, be ready to be at it for a while. It is not uncommon for project cars to take 2-3 years. The rewards are worth it though and you will learn as you do the work (friends are valuable). Quarter panels - $700, paint - $2,000, engine - $4,000, hot Camaro to cruise in - priceless!

you would be better off to buy a camaro someone else has already done or find a good project car that is already had the body done and finish the rest yourself.
or buy a welder (mig gas welder) and strip it to nothing and start welding floor pans, trunk pans,
inner and outer wheelhouse, quarters and door skins, if you know how to that is, i mean you can have countles hrs in this stuff and if u cant work on it every night it will take about 10 yrs to finish it. weigh the diference

take a look here www.maplemotors.net

Nice Nova. Bigger air cleaner would be first on my list. What are your ideas for the car?

not sure yet. i would really like to make it a "modern" nova. upgrade everything to electonics. disc brakes, power stearing, power locks, windows, electric dash, the whole 9 yards. but i know that would cost a fortune. you have any ideas? i would love to hear what u think. or what would u do first if it were your car? http://youtube.com/watch?v=aUmgCh1Kw...eature=relatedsomething like that

looks like you already have a decent set of hooker headers. I would upgrade to ceramic coated, keeps the temps down in the engine bay. The small air cleaner can get restrictive if it gets too dusty. Power stuff would wait for a while, they are more of creature comforts. Power disk brakes and steering would be on the list. How is the body? Much rust? that would be a priority. What has been done to the mill? Maybe a mild cam. What are the specs on the motor?

the guy who i bought it from said it was an electric air cleaner? yeah deff. power disc brakes but idk about pw steering? i kind of like how it steers now. whats the mill? all i know about the motor is that it is a 350 out of an 84 corvette. is there any way i can find more specs on the motor? also it needs a larger radiator. the radiator is for the 6 that it originally had in it. here are some pics of the rust and underside:
