New to the group...

My question is how can you tell an original 1969 Camaro Big Block fan shroud from the GM ones stamped with the same part number? I just received a shroud that I bought online, the guy said it was original 69, but I have my doubts now that I am looking at it in person.

An original GM BB fan shroud from 69 will have the part number 3947619. Aftermarket fans will not have the GM part number stamped on it. What is it you are unsure about.

 

I have read that the "authorized" GM repros have the part in them as well. That was my question, how to tell the difference.
