Default 1967 SS L78. Add RS package?

i recently bought a fully restored 67 SS L78 matching #’s motor. Was thinking about adding the RS package to it. I like the look better. Will this hurt the value of the car?

Depending on a persons value of "numbers matching", you're likely to get different opinions. To me, someone looking at a numbers matching car is wanting the car for originality. I would look at adding the RS equipment as not increasing the value of the car and a possible reduction in price. Bottom line, it's your car and you can modify it the way you want. At the very least, I would keep the parts to put it back to original.

Ditto! Nice car I wouldn't change a thing but it's your car.

1 of 1138, leave it be if it were up to me. Buy a 67 plain jane and add the repop RS stuff. Very nice car, have fun and be safe.

If 3L is not on Trim Tag by master cylinder, and RS pkg is added, then the value declines.
But, as said, your car and you trim it her as you like.
JMT's if she is original now, leave her be.
BTW, wrong vents on the hood, those shown are '68-'69, '67 were straight fins, not egg crate.
Nice looking Camaro, enjoy the journey with her.

Appreciate all the replies. I’ll most likely leave it the way it sits to keep the value. Thanks everyone

I did see that they are wrong ones. I need to change them out. The car hasn’t arrived yet so I need to go over it better. Bought it sight unseen.

Good eye on the hood ornaments Everett. Jusrich 1 when you swap out the hood ornaments, you can use the incorrect ones as ice trays!

Does it still have solid lifters? I've seen a lot of these engines with solid lifter cams switched over to hydraulic cams.
