1967 camaro RS value

Hi, new member here. I have the opportunity to trade a 911 for a 1967 RS Camaro with 20K something miles on it. My car is worth 17K give or take. I am not sure how to value a survivor car like this. It is only a 327 2bbl with powerglide. Not a high optioned car. Link provided below. In your opinion is this car worth at least 17K assuming it is a true original survivor? Thanks for your thoughts. Deal or NO Deal? John in Denver

Oh wow! If that car is as solid as the pictures make it look, I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Are you talking about an even trade? Run the numbers and make sure it's a true rs, and if the engine is matching numbers. Also get over and under it and check if it has any hidden rust spots. The paint job does look damn nice. Only a 327...you can put on a 4 barrel and electronic ignition, and that will wake the engine up noticeably.
Here's some trim tag decode info: http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...ecode-1967.asp

Look like a good deal to me. The car looks correct. I would think 17K would be the low side of that car.

Yes, yes, and hell YES! If your lucky the build sheet will still be in it. Your 911 will only depreciate, but an RS in such original condition will hold value in time like these or go up in value when economic times are better. Mind you, it',s not going to be a great performer, but it will be a great slice of your own Americana.

This is the kind of car that can be driven and win prizes at car shows because it is such pristine shape.

This is a no-brainer for any first gen guy! Don't just jump on it....LEAP!!!

67 RS trade

Yes, it would be an even trade. I am inclined to go for it if it looks as good in person, and, if the numbers check out. You're right, it wouldn't be a race car but it would be a nice cruiser / car show Camaro. I'll keep you all posted.

I valued my 67 at $5K. When I went to get the insurance the underwriter said they would insure it for no less than $22K. And mine is a heap, well not that bad, but no options either. I did take a good pic though.
