Default ZL1 manual clutch

I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE that I might be returning under CA lemon law and am thinking of upgrading to the ZL1.
I went to test drive one yesterday and the clutch was the heaviest I've every experienced. Is this what it is supposed to fell like? It is so strong it is making me seriously consider the possibility that I have been driving stick wrong for my whole life.
thoughts?

I have a MY 19 ZL-1 and it doesn't feel any different than any other manual car I have driven.

I haven't driven a ZL1 but I have the LS7 clutch in my car with a Tick adjustable master cylinder and it's still pretty heavy.
Definitely takes more push than the stock LS1 clutch did.
