Default 2017 Camaro ZL1 automatic limits revving past 3,000 rpm

Getting ready to take my car down to the dealership. I have a new 2017 Camaro ZL1 with 3,900 miles on it and when it is in park or neutral and I press on the gas it revs up fine up until 3,000 RPM and then it sort of levels out and just hums and the RPM SLOWLY increase from there. This does not seem normal, almost like there is some kind of limiter on it. Should I take it to the dealer?
Thanks.

Its called a rev limiter, most cars do it now to lower emmisions and avoid engine damage. As long as the check eng light is not on and it drives o.k. I would say don't worry about it.
