Torque Converter Help
Hi. New here.
Experienced some problems yesterday after switching new brake pads and rotors. On my way home I was at a stop and my check engine light pops up and my gear display starts flashing ‘D’. I pulled over after the light to check it out and drove about 2 miles down. The car wouldn’t jump over 3rd gear so I drove rather slow, I got to my local parts store and they hooked up the scanner. The guy there said it had a list of “turbine” codes. He reset it and the light turned off and ran fine the rest of the way. Today I ran fine as well but I think maybe it’s time for a torque converter upgrade? Anyone have similar issues? Any input would help.
I drive a 2011 2SS automatic (cam, headers, cold air, straight 3” pipe, tune,)
