Default New 2012 camaro ss automatic want spin the tires with traction control off.

Hey guys I just bought a 2012 camaro ss with the automatic trans and I have put 500 miles on it and yesterday I decided to see what she had and the outcome was not what I wanted. I pulled it to M and turned off the traction control and nothing and I even tried to stall it up and do it a 2nd time, it want spin its almost like it doesnt get full pwer from a dead stop when you floor it its like it bogs down and then takes off. I will say it runs pretty strong from a roll going about 10mph and fells stronger there than from a dead stop. Does anyone know what could be going on is the computer holding it back until it gets a certin amount of miles on it or is it just a dog.

Thanks

2012 6 speed and it does the same thing. Rapid acceleration from a start and it just dogs out and then over revves. Mine, like yours is low miles and so it's back to the dealer. Sounds like it could be a common problem. I haven't tried it much, but it will do the same thing in 2nd if I really punch it.

hmmm...My uncle has the 2010 SS with the Auto and it will burn rubber all day. I'd imagine that the computer knows it has low miles on the engine and since its not out of break-in period that it will derate the engine to prevent damge from people woh might redline a new engine.

Hey guys if you still have this problem you cant just tap the tc button you gotta hold it down for at least 5 secs. You will get a message in red indicating several thing are deactivated. Hope that helps.
