Was there a rubber bumper between the springs and the chassis?

That is exactly what I was going to suggest. I have a 2011 SS and it is doing the same thing, it took me a minute to figure out where the noise was coming from . I took it up to a muffler shop by my house and had them put it on a lift and sure enough the rubber boot was worn on the passenger side spring. I haven't had the car very long and it had under 50k miles on it , i have a warranty on it so im gonna take it to the dealership and have it fixed
