Order is sitting idles on rail in Ottawa any sugestions?????
My purchased 45th Ed is sitting idle and I sold my driver last wk. Should I get my deposit back and find a local car or work on a discount for my inconvenience maybe $300?? Anyone had this problem??? Any recommendations. Thanks
Sit idle yourself. The dealer is not at fault, GM is not at fault, maybe the R.R. but you can't do anything to them. Why should anybody pay you anything? They didn't tell you to sell your ride before the new one got there. Dealer only knows what is expected as told by GM as told by the R.R. and a lot of people have had the same thing happen. Relax and think about how sweet the new ride will be! Congrats.
The GM Dealer told me last week before I sold my car that the Camaro would arrive 8/31/11 so I relied on his statement and sold my car. In my former business when I told a client something he acted upon in reliance I was fully responsable. If there is a chance something will not occur as promised then inform the customer. I didn't know until now which is too late. I reckon I will be forced to get my deposit back and buy something else. Too bad for us tax payer owners of GM.

I think anybody reading this has you figured out, and does not figure your complaint worth a reply. I'm guessing you're from a metro. area? Sarcasm? Yes. I only replied because your upset with your dealer, and GM, and they are giving you info. given to them from the RR. Why don't you ask, no demand an apology from the RR for messing up your life. By the way, the RR is subsidized by the govt. which is us taxpayers. The RR and the govt. don't act responsible, nor do they answer to anyone. I really do understand your problem, and it is truly unfortunate that you found yourself with out a car for a while. It's frutrating, but these things do happen. I'm sure you do not compensate someone for every mistake you've ever made. Move on, and enjoy the new ride. I wish you well.
Apparently we do not know who is at fault. RR, GM, or Dealer. However I relied to my detriment on my dealers statements on delivery. We may never know who is at fault but its a sad way for such a large corporation to be a party to such malficance. A man or company is no better than its word. Better to say I don't know if you don't know when an ordered auto is to arrive. Buy off the lots.
This is whats wrong with this country right here. I promise I will give you a million bucks, now go quit your job. Ever heard dont count your chickens till they hatch? Jeez, take resposibility for your actions before you play the blame game. When you point a finger look, there are three pointed right back at you.
I know who is at fault, you. Now stop bad mouthing my GM dealership, you're going to make my stock go down and it will be all your fault when I cant buy groceries tomorrow.

In a perfect world, maybe. Have you figured out who let you down yet? Do you know who you're mad at or disappointed with? If I was your sales person, I'd give you back your deposit with my heart felt sounding apology and hold the exit door open for you. No, really, I would.
