Default New owner of a 2011 Camaro 1SS, Rally Yellow, RS and Automatic

Hi,
Just want to introduce my self and let everyone know that I am a new owner of a 2011 Camaro.

I’ve been following the New Camaro since it was introduced as a concept back a few years ago. Since then, I knew I would buy one.

My plans were, as I always do, to wait for the ‘second year’ model before I buy. With this, I was saving money and making plans to purchase it around Feb or March of 2011, but, when I took my 2008 Saturn Outlook XR for some warranty repair, the salesman was telling me about how they are not really charging over MSRP for the new Camaros (any more).

Now around this time, I was still debating whether to keep my 2008 Saturn Outlook or use it as a trade in for my Camaro. As you know, Saturn is gone and I wasn’t sure how these newer Saturn cars would do (hold their value).

So, after talking to the salesman, I told him I would pay ‘invoice’ for a 2011 Camaro and nothing more. Well, after some negotiations, they gave me a final price of $33,650 and I agreed to it.

( I did trade in my Silver 2008 Saturn Outlook XR and I will miss it. It was very good for the most part. )

I was prepared with the information from Edmunds.com, below:

....................................MSRP........ Invoice ......Others Paying

National Base Price ......$30,945 ...... $29,707...... $30,429
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code Change ........- .................- .................$321
Optional Equipment .......$2,990 .........$2,632 ........ $2,933
WRS RS Package .......... $1,200 ......... $1,056 ........ $1,177
6-Speed Auto Transn........ $995 ............ $876 .......... $976
Black Stripe Package ........ $470 ............$414
Rally Yellow Paint .............$325 ............$286............ $319
[/IMG]Color Adjustment ..........- .................. -
Rally Yellow
Destination Charge ............$850 ............$850.......... $850
Total with Options .........$34,785....... $33,189 ... ..$34,466

I actually bought the car about 10 days ago but I didn't post anything right away because I was very busy driving it (enjoying).

I will add pictures to my album, if allowed.

You need to upload your pictures to a site like Photobucket.com. Then take the Direct Link option they give you and paste it in between

Thanks failed.

I just thought it would be as easy as 1, 2, 3 (like other car forums - Saturn).

I will have to open an account then.

thanks,

Congrats on the purchase. My only advice, I have the 2010 Rally Yellow 2SS 6 speed. Get the ground effects and paint them yellow and get the 21 inch factory rims. Did it on mine and the car just stands out. I have a you tube posted with the finished product. A few extra bucks but your car will be the real deal!!!

I would have to say 21's and GFX aren't necessary to be the "real deal"

I'm kinda split on the GFX and 21's...I've seen them look amazing on some cars, not so much on others...

to the OP, you can also upload attachments to your post if you don't want to go through the trouble of using a hosting site

I've tried, but I was told that may be I don't have enough posts.

This is very unusual. I participate in several other forums (SUVs, Minivans....) and all of them allow you to upload pictures with all your posts (right away- as soon as you join).

I am still trying to open an account so that I can upload pictures in another site.

thanks,

BL (in San Francisco - home of the import lovers)
