Exclamation Good options for 2012 2LT RS Exhaust??

I recently purchased my 2012 2LT RS Camaro back in Nov 2011. And I am really wanting to get a new exhaust. I am looking for a full system. Looking for something that is deep and has a muscle car sound to it, not no "rice burner" sound. Ive looked at a couple Corsa and Borla systems. Just looking for other thoughts and opinions, will probably be buying one within the next couple weeks.

Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same car, color and all. What did you end up going with?

I purchased a 45th anniversary 2lt in April. He dealership that I bought it from was such a disaster, for all the trouble they gave me, I had them upgrade the exhaust with Chevy accessory parts. The outlets are bigger, chrome, and have the Chevy logo imprinted on the top. I think it sounds much better than the stock exhaust, you have to remember its still a 6 you can try to mimic the 8 sound, but you won't get it. I think tr exhaust package I had installed was like a grand for the parts, I'm sure you could Find something for less tho.

I have a 2012 Camaro 2LS, just purchased about a week ago. I was also looking into exhaust systems, as well as cold air intakes. I searched youtube, and came across this exhaust system, by ARK Performance:

I don't know, performance wise, how much of an improvement you get, but I think these ARK exhausts sound better than most of the others I've checked out on youtube. I extremely dislike that "fart cannon" sound you hear on the more common exhausts. This ARK N-II system seems to be the best option out there for the V6 5th Gen Camaros.

Curiously, I was looking into the GM Performance exhaust kit myself, but it is not a Cat-back system. Since you stated you have purchased and had it installed, how does it sound in person? How much of an improvement is it performance wise? I'm looking for something that sounds mellow, but powerful, yet still gives a decent increase in power.

If I can be honest, I really didn have the stock exhaust long enough to really get used to it before the performance exhaust was installed. What I do remember was that you were barely able to hear the exhaust from inside the cabin, and once you upgraded, you can definitely hear it now. I like the look of the pipes, and to me the sound isn't loud, but you can hear it coming. More than just a low hum.

it's a v6, it's always going to sound like a fart can, especially now that the engines are twin cams & 24 valves, and you can hear the stock exhaust, if you cant them your deaf. the only point of adding an exhaust is to attempt to get power gains, so do you get anything? with 320 horsepower who really cares about another 20 horse sanyway?
