Default Convertible driving without tonneau cover. Ok or not?

I noticed when cruising down the interstate there was fabric movement when I was at 70mph. Is this hard on the cover? Do I always need to put the cover on? That's a pain.

Kind of wondering that myself. I would think if it had be in place any time the top is down, it would be standard equipment on all models and the retaining pins would be factory installed. From what I can read, it is only standard with the 2LT package and even then, I had to install the pins myself. This is question that will asked of my dealer next time I am in. I hope the answer is negative as, like you have stated, it is a PITA for me to put on and almost impossible for my wife. Any input from someone who as a definitive would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a few convertibles in my life and every one I drove mainly without the cover on and did not have any ill effects. I expect this one to be the same way.
