Default Considering a 2013 Camaro SS

So Im in the market for a new car. Im actually a Honda guy (hate all you want) but Im not an ignorant person, and I like many other cars for their own unique qualities. Ive looked at the Mitsubishi Evolution X, Subaru STI, Mustang 5.0, among others that werent as good as the mentioned. Im going to test drive the SS tomorrow. My questions revolve around common issues with the SS, and the aftermarket support. What issues are common, and hoe is the aftermarket support / how much power can the stock trans (manual and automatic both) stock engine and stock rear end hold? Thanks in advance for your time

Well anyone who buys foreign is obviously making poor choices. If you live in America buy American because your helping our own economy. Which in turn helps you. Anyone that lives in America and buys foreign is only hurting them Self. Not exactly what you asked but I hope this helps your decision.

^Lol. Joke or serious?

Aftermarket support is huge, as is with any LS engine really. Parts are not all that expensive either, so really you can get a lot done with a small budget.

I don't own a 5th gen so I can't really comment on the common problems, sorry. However, the most common complaint is usually visibility as the roof line is very low, and the belt line is very high, coupled with the large pillars

What were your plans regarding the car if you bought it? That might help us better answer the questions as to what sort of punishment the drivetrain can handle. Generally speaking though, LS engines are very reliable even when modded.

You can run a few pounds without issue on a stock engine, manual transmissions should also be fine. The rear end is an IRS in the 5th gens, and I don't know how strong they are.
