Might be able to get a 2012 for my birthday, if money ever goes right, haha. If someones gets one of the ZL1s they've got to post videos of it.

My information is the same as Chevelle Man. The 2012 Camaro will begin production on the 18th of July. I would suggest speaking with a dealer in your area to find when orders for the vehicle can begin to be sent in. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, I'm wanting to get me a new SS. Hopefully I'll have the cash, or the down-payment to buy one by the time orders are available to come in.

hey guys let me share my recent experience w/ GM & the dealer on 2012's. No info on GM's or Chevy's site on 2012 except "ZL1 available early 2012. went to dealer, says cannot order any 2011's, no info on price increases, color or option deletions or additions for 2012, gave me three different figures on price increases & said i could pre-order, said thanks but no thanks i can't do business that way, call me when you get info on 2012's. sent emails to GM & Chevy. No reply yet. Dealers apparently can only sell 2011's remaining on lot. Kind of a bad place to be in if you're a dealer isn't it?

well... production starts the 18th of this month. i was going to trade my camaro in for an ss, but they didn't have the exact one i wanted. So their inventory manager said why don't you just get a 2012, they will be here soon. He said he had 18 allocations and would use one to order the car I wanted. I have my order number and it was entered into GM's system the day after the order was made. He said it would be here in 4-5 weeks.

EDIT: and if you're looking for information on the 2012's, here is the online order guide.

Zenaida, Thanks for all the useful info. As soon as Chevy.com or GM.com update their sites so I can "Build My Own" with 2012 info I will go back to the dealer. At least by using "Build Your Own" you have a starting point on negotiating instead of going in blind. This all makes me wonder if I should check out another dealer since you have so much more info than the sales personell I dealt with a few days ago?
