Default 2012 colors

I hope i'm putting this in the right place. Anyway... does anybody know if there is any information on the colors available for the 2012 camaros? I have a 2011 LT camaro right now and i'm going to trade it in for a 2012 to upgrade to a 2ss. The dealer told me he was ordering a bunch and he would be getting them in about 4-5 weeks. I told him exactly what I wanted... color, trim, options, etc and he said he would order one just like that and call me when it came in. Now the color i originally wanted was cyber grey (its what i have now) but apparently that's not available right now so I went with black. After some searching and reading online I became aware of a new color called Carbon Flash Metallic aka Black ice. My question is... is that color only for the 45th anniversary edition camaro or is it available for any camaro? I would like to get a carbon flash 2ss. In the bright sunlight my cyber grey is too light for my liking and the flat black is kind of bland to me, so I feel like carbon flash would be perfect. it's pretty much inbetween the two colors.

I have called the salesman i have been dealing with and asked about the color and he said he was going to ask their inventory manager that's doing the ordering and call me back, but thought i'd try to find out myself. I was over at the dealership today and a different salesman was very pushy and trying to get me to buy something that was on their lot that i did not want. I asked for a black camaro with beige interior and he said that they didnt make them like that so knowing thats not true I showed him a picture on my iphone THEN he went and found one. It did not have a sunroof though which is one of my requirements so that was that. Every time i asked for something specific he would lie and act like they dont exist. I'm pretty sure it's because im a young female and he thinks i don't know what i'm talking about. BUT if anyone could give me some insight, confirm, or point me towards any information it would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried searching the internet but i've been reading conflicting information. I've read that its a new color for 2012 (maybe only available for 2ss'?) and i've also read that it's only for the 45th anniversary edition ( but i find that kind of hard to believe since they're putting that color on other models. Corvettes, etc). I would just like to find out myself so they don't try to get me to buy "whatever" and tell me that color is not available, cause I feel like one of the men there have lied to me a lot.

I'm sorry, but you can close this. I just spoke to a GM representative and found out the answer to my question. Carbon flash Metallic is ONLY for the 45th anniversary edition car. You cannot get that color otherwise.

Default 2012 Camaro Paint colors

My response to you, Zenaida, is to go to Chevy.com and instant message someone directly from the company. I am tired of going to dealers and the salesman will tell you anything you want to hear.
The 45th Anniversary only comes in 1 color. They are dc'ing green and burgandy for 2012 but coming out with a new red color - I dont know name right now. and the 550 HP Camaro and the special bumblebee 3 camaro as well. When it doubt, go to the direct website. They wont make up fictional stories on there. Good luck..... Jeff

Red Jewel exterior paint will be replaced with a Crystal Red Tintcoat exterior paint. There is a new Carbon Flash Metallic paint being added in 2012, I haven't heard anything of that replacing the Cyber Gray Metallic... the colors would be very similiar, so it wouldn't make much sense to have 2 almost the same. But the Cyber Gray Metallic has been very popular... so that would be a little surprising.

FYI... I figured this out with 5 minutes and Bing So if in doubt of what they are telling you, you can usually find press releases or direct information from Chevy on this stuff
