You dont need a new rear end or new tranny. The 4L60E was used in both v6 cars and v8 cars, the bellhousing will be a bit different, and I think you''ll need a new torque converter, but seeing how you stated you wanted it to be a 6 speed Im guessing you already know you need a new tranny. Guys, honestly I think we need to be a little nicer to people wanting to swap. Ive seen alot of wrecked z-28s and trans ams in my area and an LT1 with a full wiring harness can be had for about 750$. Its a more viable option to some, and it certain instances can be cheaper if you can find a wrecked donor car. Im just sayin....

If youre going to talk about paying a mechanic to do the swap your in over your head already. Have you ever seen a salvage yard? You guys make it seem like this stuff is worth its wieght in gold, where ever your getting your prices from those are incredibly high. I dunno maybe its just me but you guys always quote prices higher than anything Ive ever seen, I mean 200 for a guage cluster? Are you buying new? Where do you get this stuff? That, and 3-500 for a limited slip rear end with disc brakes? You REALLY need to be checking your information dude......
