i've been considering getting my 96 painted for a while and i've been thinking about who i would have do it. to keep cost down i plan on just getting it repainted the dark metallic purple that it is now or a purple very close to it, so that i won't have to get the jams, trunk, or t-top jams painted. i'm considering getting it painted by maaco because i've heard of them doing cars for about $400. now don't get me wrong i don't expect it to be a flawless paint job i just want something better then whats on it now. has anyone gotten their car done by maaco? what type of paint job am i looking to get for about $500-$1000? and what type of paint would be best as far as durability?
