Here on long island it seems that ws6's are more rare and usually go for a bit more price wise.

 

Id Go camaro too, cuz i owned a 2002 Z28 with aftermarket air intake and it had 342 gears and i would walk the WS6's

 

the 3.42 gears are stock just like the WS6's. And just an air intake would not allow you to WALK over a WS6. You must have gone up some fellow rice nuggets who could not drive worth a sh#t.

ya, they are the same car, just whichever brand you are loyal to, here in my part of Western New York, you don't see to many of either, i have a 99 SS and i have the only one that i have seen in the LS1s, but i do know that there is one WS6 around also.... and the WS6s that I have seen for sale are usually a few grand more and a lil over priced in my book.....

i would just get a Z28 and with the few grand you save not buying a car for its emblem (SS or WS6) use that money on some mods headers, exhaust, cold air, throttle body airfoil, you could pretty much bolt-on it out and be able to walk a stock ss or ws6 and as far as tranny i know that the lt1 tranny is so low geared that the difference on paper 0-60 time is .5 sec on paper if thats true you could more than make that up on reaction time and most ppl cant drive a stick worth a crap so they are gonna lose time shifting so dont limit yourself to a stick. I had a 97Z with a automatic and i walked several sticks cause they couldnt drive

 

I say Camaro all the way, am getting a 97 camaro Z28 and i have a ls6 that is waiting to go in it, Camaro's are sexy as hell and easy to work on and get parts for, but WS-6 is a sexy car, but i think they weigh more dont they?

 

They are the same exact car, comestics aside. A WS6 is only maybe 50-75lbs heavier than a similarly equiped Camaro.

i have a magazine (i think car and driver, someone help me out if you've seen this one please) where they did a complete comparison on the mustang, poniac and camaro, all claiming 305 hp.
they did a road course, dragrace, ect.
The camaro came in the best at all except price[&o].
the poniac came out the 2nd [:'(]with the drivers stating that it did not feel like 300hp
and the mustang came out last with it's positive being that it was the cheapest.
