i have a LT1 with LT4 hot cam kit header full exaust and ignition stock gears and my friend has a 05 sti with exaust and tuned who do you think is faster. we are getting ready to race

Well, its a race I'd like to see. It ought to be close. If you've had a really good tune done and havereally good tires for a hard launch you might take him. Still, even money, I'd bet on the STi by about a length to a length and a half in the quarter.

i agree with lee, the STI is going to launch better since it has 4wd. but in the long run you will start catching up to him..try to take i vid of it..it will be a close race

I would have to go with the STI on this one. They do gain a few horses from exhaust and show good gains with tuning. A stock STI vs a stock LS1 is a drivers race. With the tune and exhaust he should be a 13.0 car easy. If his clutch is up to the task he is going to kill you.

what know faith in american cars i raced him a on sunday and beat him by a full car on street tires and stock gears but dont get me wrong he got me off the line but that AWD cant hang with ture american horsepower. HAHAHA you guys are stupid for even thinking a import could beat a camaroZ28

A stock STI is a close race for a stock LS1. If he was running mods with a tune he should be running 13.0-13.3 with no problem thats a full second faster then a good running LT1. Also the LT1 does not have the top end that the LS1 has and the STI is no slouch on top end giving it more of a edge. In short he sucks at driving or was having some sort of issue. So before you call members stupid that where trying to help you maybe you need to look at the facts.
