JUST JOINED
Hi, To All

Today I still drive around in my 1973 TypeLT-Z28 I purchased back in 1975, Motor just got pulled out and taken apart, three lobes on the Solid Cam were found to be rounded. Motor had been last "beef up" in 1980...,Motor was turning a good 425 HP plus( Motor was never put on a dyno, but it sure gave many of my know friends...,something to think, at the track, when I would beet them and they new theirs were put on a dyno at 460 Hp plus.) This motor was definitely BUILD RIGHT,on a dual point distributor, using a 1976Holley 650 cfm Spread bore( trick out a little), Manifold was a1976 Torker II using a 1" spread bore spacer. This well build motor just died on me with only 49000 mile since 1976. Today I would like to rebuild it using as many of the old parts possible, but at the same time I would like to make itmore for street driving using some of todays, if possible modern technology. One of my last long trips using the Camaro, was a 26 hour trip, and one of the most unconfortable an anoying things was the humming and high RPM pitch of the engine. One of the modification on my list is to remove the old four speed muncie, so to install a 6 speed manual trasmission. WHO CAN HELP WITH MY NEW ADVENTURE ????????
