wow that looks like a lot of work. Before I had my garage I did not have room for a hoist but need one for the weekend (ended up being two weekends. I bought the cheap HF one ton with sale plus coupon I got it for $89. The next Monday I did a Bargain add in the local paper for 2 bucks. First guy gave me $75 for it.
I have also done the 3 bars leaning together like a teepee and wraped a chain around it but that works better outside where the bars sink into the ground.

Ha I suck at wood work. That would be a all pay project for me. Now if I had soem 2-1/2 angle iron laying around I could whip something together pretty quick.
