Default 2000 v6 Mustang vs 1995 v6 Camaro

Who would win? Stock on both. This chick I know really thinks she could beat me and I want to know who would stand a better chance. :3

there has always been and always will be a rivalry between mustang and camaro. my fiancees ex bf has a 2000 V6 mustang completely stock and wanted to race me in my 2002 Z28.... people are just ignorant, but to answer your question the camaro always wins

Depends a lot on the driver in my experience... I once raced a guy in my 4-banger automatic 2000 Saturn SL1, and the other guy had a Mustang GT... That was a sad day for Mustangs... If the guy knew how to drive, though, I'd have been toast.

is the stang an auto or manny?

manny tranny dyno's at around 180-185 ish WHP while auto dynos at around 165ish WHP

I don't know what the sixer camaro's do

v6 stangs with manny tranny, CAI/tune/ axle back can do 0-60 in low 6 seconds if they hook.

Don't put down the S197 v6 even with the older technology 4.0. With a few simple mods they almost run with the older GTs

Your '95 a 3.4 or 3.8? 3.4 would make the match equally boring on both sides. 3.8 and you would probably win.

The cars don't matter, it's who's driving them. Get the launch and you have a good chance. Sometimes that's all it takes is a great launch to win even if you have an 'inferior' car and equal driving abilities. Race and find out.

I agree with DarlingReject. It also depends on the length/style of race. If it's a street race, it's all in how you handle it around turns. If it's short and straight, the winner is the one who gets the launch. If it's longer an straight, that's when engine size makes the biggest difference.

Challenge him to a street you're really familiar with :0)
