Just getting started - And on a budget
I love a Camaro, however. I drive a bmw. See the problem? Well, coming up this December I will have my bmw payed off and I can send it on it's marry way. And I'm ready to dig into some real muscle, I love the idea of an ls1 motor but I am on a budget. i don't have the money to buy anything super expensive in fact for the car itself I need to stay in a budget of around 10 grand ( for the car itself, not the mods included). which doesn't leave me a lot of room to play with. Now the reason I am posting this in the forum and not doing all the research on my own is because I figured there would be a lot of knowledgeable enthusiasts here who may be able to assist me with picking the right gen. Here's the fun part, a lot of my friends are Ford owners, which a lot of people say are friends that I probably do not need in my life, but. If I can pull off the right build. Busting them will just be all that much more fun.

Where you are at will play a big part on the prices you are going to see. As long as you are not going after a SS or 6 speeds and can find real nice cars in your range.

Here is a idea to through out their. Get your self a early or late mustang for your ford friends and then stick a LS motor in it. That way you will have the best of both worlds. Their are lots of LS mustang swaps out their for the pickings. Light weight fox platform with the performance of the LS. What's not to like. I did one with the first gen and one with a ls. Both were very impressive on the street and strip.

Ls1 powered Mustang would be like taking home a fat chick. Seems like a good idea vs nothing at all, but in the morning your still looking at a fat Mustang. Besides the LS1 would make the Stang fast in a straight line but you would have to hide from Camaro owners if there was any corners around.
