Default Getting car ready for paint

I was wondering whats the easiest and cheapest way to sand and primer my car? I want to do this myself so I don't have to pay that extra to have it done in a body shop..what all do i need to get?? Please if anyone out there have some advice please help out!

if u just want cheap primer that looks half way decent just get some nason acrylic laquer primer,is this just gonna be temporary or is this for long term.

Well, im sure you dont want to manually sand your entire vehicle (maybe on just small parts so you can "feel it as you sand it") I would recommend getting a a decent shop sander along with safe but durable auto primer. There are usually sales on ebay with "packages" that come with the color auto-gloss you want along with primer and spray guns(which are highly recommended, dont want to overspray or go rattle can)

Nothing wrong with rattle can, as long as you use the right stuff. For bare metal, you want to use a self etching primer: SEM Self Etching Primer
Look around at that site while you're there, it's like a candy store for tool lovers.
