2014 Camaro LS Stereo
Hello all. I am new to this site hope I can get some info.
A couple of days ago I bought a new 2014 Camaro LS. When I was at the stealership I noticed the car had no usb port. I asked numerous times if the stereo had the capability to play my music( ipod, or phone) if not, I don't want the car. I was told by several salesmen there that it could. No problem they said, it's all done through Bluetooth now, no need for cables. I asked again, and again, same answer.
Well.. as you all may know, it can't. Now I am hassling with them over it.
I have been researching this PDIM that can be added to the system, but what I want to know is, will it work with the stock head unit in there now, and is it available for 2014 yet? I haven"t seen any listing for it.
I think they should own up to their mistake and install it if so.
Any info would be great. Thx.

I have a 13 camaro LS and it's capable. The bluetooth function is only for calls. There's an aux cable slot in the center console that connects to the radio. If you don't have one there, then you're not able. But that'd be making the 14 stereo worse than the 13 stereo... Doesn't seem likely. Hope that helps.

I just bought the 2014 2LS and am having the same issue with the radio. When contemplating the car, they assured me that streaming media, iPod, etc. would work just fine. After signing the papers and finally owning the vehicle, I hooked up my phone to the bluetooth and, of course, discovered that it only functions with phone calls. No Media. Looked a bit more around the car... NO USB. I called the dealership right away and talked directly to the service manager who did some digging and called me back. He said not only does this radio not have the capability, but it also DOES not work with the after market PDIM accessory that works in the 2013. He also went on to tell me that GM would not permit him to install the upgraded stereo system (the one that DOES do the things we want). So until an after market option becomes available, looks like we're pretty much stuck.
