Default Using lead to fix an exhaust leak?

Hey guys, I have a little leak in my edelbrock exhaust. Just a tiny little crack about 3/4 inch wife by 1/2 inch tall. Was wondering if anyone had ever heard of using lead to patch a hole. I have a whole roll of it for roofing around chimneys that I could wrap around and clamp down but I didn't know how well it might hold up or if it would be bad to get hot etc. let me know what you guys think!

Depends on where the leak is. Lead has a pretty low melting point (600*F) and wouldn't last long on manifolds or headers. It may last near the tail pipe.

It's about 2 1/2 feet back from the headers. A little less than a foot before the cat

Brass would be the preferred repair. Brazing would be fine for everything past the manifolds themselves.
