Default new console gauge pkg..no resistors

i just received my new console gauge pkg(33-187519-1 )from Ecklers today. I just noticed that thefuel gauge didnt include the resistor that I have on my old one. Is this something i need to order as well? I was anxious about getting this back together this weekend. I have the wire one on the old fuel gauge but not sure if this is transferable.Also dont the temp gauge require one as well?

thanks

Danny

Gas gauge, you should do a bench test in the Camaro to see if it works correctly.
Measure the tan wire referenced to ground, the body and read, hopefully resistance.
0-90 ohms; 0 = empty, 90 = full 45 = half, etc.
If gauge does not read , then add resistor and check again.
Gauge is only an indicator, not exact amount.

Temp gauge will need a resistive sending unit; HOT lights use a thermal switch - won't work on gauge.
On sending unit, ensure body of sensor has good ground to block.
Center post to ground tells gauge to indicate;
5K or more cold, approx. 180-200 ohms is 180° - approx.
Lower resistance, higher temp indicated.

The reproduction imported gauges have the resistance on the inside of the gauge and if they are like the Corvette reproduction gauges they will include a spacer bridge to replace the resistor. If you run the resistor you'll be stacking resistance and the gauge will not function properly.

Most the reproduction gauges we see come with the following instruction sheet.
