Just through a stroker kit in it and make a 496. So your short a few inches but most guys are. When they talk about their motor.

I thought about that! My eyes are set on the GM 502, but if that dream fails to become a reality, then a 496 stroker is right up my alley. Unless I find me a 455 Olds Rocket, which would be a miracle for me.

If your heart is set on the GMPP 502 then obviously go for it. I dont believe the 502 is a tall deck so BBC parts will bolt right up to it. I have had issue finding certain brackets for a tall deck. If you want to make real power on a budget do as 1971BB427 says. I have a 350 rocket in a Toyota pickup and the parts for that are a bit more then chev parts and a bit harder to find so i would keep away from that too.

Theres nothing sweeter then BBC power.

I think the 502 would benefit me in the long run. I'd just have to save a lot of money to get it. Do you enjoy your 350 rocket? I never hear bad things about them. Odds are I'll probably have to build on a budget, and the Olds engines are my favorite of the GM engine family. Amen brother! BBC's dominate the big block competition by a landslide.

The engine is in an 86 Toyota pickup with 38.5" Boggers on it. The engine has lots of torque to throw the mud even in the stickiest situations. Cant comment on the actual power for the road as my truck isnt safe even doing 50 on the road. Shes only a bush truck.

Sounds like the ultimate race truck to me! I'd do something like that unless the handling is too touchy, lol.
