Especially the Ford fanatics! Can't wait to see the disappointment on their faces when they see a Chevy engine in there!

You need to take it to the all ford show in Hillsboro when it's done. Man those guys get pissed when gramps and I go out there on either of his early fords since they both jab Chevys in them. One guy flat out started yelling me when I drove the pickup out there. It's quite comical

You're a lot like me! I find it funny when Ford guys get so irritated seeing Chevy engines in Fords! If the smallblock Chevy wasn't such a great engine, it wouldn't be found in so many different cars! You don't see many 30's Chevys or Mopars with Ford engines, but lots of 30's Fords with SBC in them!

Man that's scootin. The old 33 ford pick up was in the high 7s back in the day with its old buggy rear suspension and street tires.

What rear gears you looking to run?

Since I wont have a high winding SBC, I'd like to run something around 3.50:1 rear gears with the 454. I ran 3.42's in the Camaro, and they were a really good choice for all around with a torque motor. Can't imagine using 3.73 like I have in the Austin, as I cruise at around 2600 at 60 mph.

Yeah the truck had 4:10's in the rear when it was raced back in the day. That would be brutal to a big block
