Default Another newbie nitrous question

Does anyone here leave their bottle openmost ofthe time?I assumethat would be very dangerous and/or let nitrous leak out? If I need to leave the bottle closed until I'm about to use it (which I assume is the case), then I'm going to have to either get a small bottle and place it within reach, or get a remote bottle opener. I want to have a small shot available whenever I want it, which might be frequent if I don't have to stop, get out of the car, and open the bottle in the back. I'm going to get a dry kit if that makes any difference. Also, if I do end up mounting a small bottle within reach, about how many uses would a 20oz or 2.5lb bottle have in it if I'm doing 50 or 75 hp shots? If nobody uses that size of bottle, then tell me how many shots your 10lb bottle holds and I'll just do the math.

if you make sure all of your connections are good you can leave it open for awhile. it can be kinda hard on the solenoids however.

when Im racing I will keep it closed until I know something is happening, or if im going to just be cruizing around. my bottle may be open for an hour or so at a time, never had any problems. I want to get a remote opener though

Any estimates on how many shots of nitrous you get out of your bottle? What size shots do you use and how big is your bottle? If I'm only going to get a handful of shots out of a small bottle, that's going to be annoying.

yeah, nitro can..... but thats because its nitromethane which is the fuel u use in top fuel cars, i wouldnt recommend running that in a regular car

nitrous can only hurt things if you go lean and then you can burn cylinders
