Default Selling the C3 and getting a 69 Camaro.......

Just ran into a deal I couldn't pass up. An old friend has a 69 coupe he decided to sell me for $13500.It is a Z11 car according to the data plate. From what I have been reading it should be a convertible. The car is a RS with SS badging which he did.The car now has a 406 with @ 500 miles since build.Once I can get these pics loaded I will try to post the car and data plate. I hope to have this car as soon as the guy comes with the Vette check...

Congrats on the purchase and deal! It certainly looks like the previous owner took good care of her. Good luck with your future mods!

Welcome, Twohats - congrats on the buy
Z10's were coupes, Z11's were 'verts.

Read here:

And at any rate - enjoy the ride.

Z11: Indy Pace Car convertible. Somebody tampered with/swapped the trim tag. Might as well assume it's SS/RS heritage may be phony too. And I'd definitely check the VIN tag on the car vs the title vs the "hidden VIN's".
Still, not a bad price for the condition it's in, just don't expect to be buying an optioned investment car.

I figured as much on the plate swap also.I did hear from the guys at the shop that it is a clone but that doesn't bother me.Ive know the owner and car for over 17 years,he works for me.lol..I figured the car a better investment than my 76 Vette although they are just for fun anyhow. My 58 Pontiac is the same not a original but a hoot to drive and restore to my likes. On the data plate , I agree something is up but the trim matches in and out by plate.Once I get the car home I will research and compare and so far title matches all I have found..Looks like it might be a fun car to play with..Thanks guys for the input..
