Default Newbee to Site but not to the Camaro's

Hello from N.Cal .. just signed up here and wanted to say hey.. Picked up a 1st gen 69 Camaro rs/ss couple months ago . have had many 2nd gen Camaro's before and 1 previous 69 Camaro back in 1987 and couple years ago a 67 rs/ss that was a bad purchase in the dark I spent too much on and gave up lol.. Finally was able to buy a 69 Camaro RS/SS . heres a couple pics.. 383 510 hp 200r4 trans built by Extreme Automatics Lonnie Diers..Always loved these cars but for some odd reason I went the Hot Boat route.. and finally was able to do both . have also a 20ft Schiada v-drive ski race boat with a 548 Dart block/heads BBC 871 mooneyham 15 lbs of boost running on E-85 making give or take 1200HP 110-120 mph boat ..

Well thanks for the welcome.. I have since done a few things since i posted last.. the car went a full redo again lol. this time to what i really wanted out of the car.. I Had a custom built Small Block 427 built at skip white performance and dyno'd at 620+ hp and 600 lbs of tq.. i then backed it up with a TKO600 5 speed nd did a McCleod Hydraulic clutch conversion . front has coil overs and hotchkis control arms and sway bar . factory disc car so didnt have to mess with that conversion.. rear is a factory 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and posi with wilwood rear disc kit .. i am now about to install the Speed Tech rear torque arm suspension with coil overs. my next dilema is do i take a factory rear 12 bolt and shave it and weld new brackets on or sell it to someone wanting a factory rear end and buy a 9 inch for it lol.. Anyway i finally got some pics loaded of how the car is currently..

[QUOTE=95 camaro 406;706255]nice car man that bad as....

Thanks, starting the next Phase of the build. Doing the Torque arm suspension from SpeedTech.. went a different route tho. instead of butchering uo my 69 Camaro rear axle i sold it to someone that needed it for a 69 restore and picked up a Bad *** Built Fab9 rear axle with Strange Shafts and Strange center section with 35 spline axle shafts and posi. also came with Chris Aslston Sway bar on it , Coil overs from a Chevelle i wont be using and few other things with it.. i have to shave some of the brac kets and weld the new ones on and then ordering the DSE Mini tubs to complete it. looking to possibly run a 335 tire in back .. the 427 engine Dyno'd at 620 so need some meat under it to get traction. hopefully in a week or 2 i will be doing some testing on it some more .. final phase of the build will be probably changing out to a rack an pinion front or upgraded subframe ..

Made some progress, Got the rear Torque arm suspension installed along with the Fab9 rear axle.. got the wilwood disc brake kit on and it is now at a shop getting the mini tubs put in. i went with the DSE mini tubs.. once i get it back the final thing is to find a set of wheels with correct offsets and order tires.. figure i'll do the 245-45-17 up front and the 315-35-17's in the rear.. would love to go with bigger tires but after 315 size's they get real pricey very fast.. here's a few pics of the rear suspension installed..
