Default New guy from NJ

Hi Everyone,

New guy to the forum from central NJ.
Bike guy my whole life got into cars over the last few years.
Just wrapping up a 3 year MOPAR build (69 Dodge dart GTS) and about to start a 68 Camaro.

To fund the Camaro build I am selling a 1970 Monte Carlo.
As soon as the Dart is done and the Monte is sold I'll start a build thread for the 68.

Looking forward to meeting writing you all and learning a lot about Camaros.

AlV

Welcome AIV.
GTS with a 383? Would like to see pictures of it, please.
When you get to the '68, it is the correct year.

Thanks Everett!
What did you mean by 68' is the correct year?

The GTS is a SB 340 Car. Its a basic numbers matching resto with some mods.
I sure hope I don't get blasted for posting these pictures

LoL I hear ya. I do still ride just not as much.
Most of my riding was on sport bikes. I liked the mountains.

Just thinking out loud. If you had 255 on the back and switch to 275s same aspect and wheel diameter.

If the aspect ration on the 255 is 40 than you have 102mm sidewall profile.
If the aspect ration on the 275 is the same the you have 110mm profile.

that's 8mm top and bottom so call it 16 mm that converts to 0.629921 call it a little over half an inch.

I think.

Everett thinks 68's are "all that" (he has one), but is in total denial that 69's rule!!! lol
Nice Dart, no blasting. My brother had a (damn fast) 69 years ago, and I had a 72.

Very nice GTS - right color of blue
True, no blasting - '68 is the right year of 1st Gen Camaros.
And the truth is, I used to own one - Rosie - 11.90/115 in 1/4 mile - 350/PG/4.11.
When I was racing her, she brought home $20K in prize money in the six years of racing her.
Life happened, so she went to a good home in Wilmington NC.

thanks todays tires are not like old days when you could say yes I got 60s all the way around or 50s in back ,I guess I would have to go down in front an up in the back to get an inch or got up to 18inch wheel ,I thought I had posted this on another thread lol thanks though, nice ride there, nothing like the old heavy metal ,but we take what we can get I was close to a 74 Drag street 2 years ago ,
