New 97 RS owner
Hi, my son recently bought a nice clean 97 RS with a 5 speed, that needs some TLC and attention to be a nice daily driver. I'm trying to help him fix a few things as well as bring the car back to some of its original glory. i just want to initially say hi and I would post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do that on this board.

hay red97 welome to the forum. moved your thread to the new members intro section for you. when you have questions or issues go ahead and use the tech sections. good to have you on the site. enjoy.

Thanks,
I'm probably going to be spearheading this until he gets his feet wet.
How do you guys post photos here? do you upload to another site and then link it back to here?
I restored or should I say am restoring a 79 vette, becuase you're never really done and I frequent the corvette forum but we can just upload to our site over there.
I would like to post some pictures of his RS we are working on and see if you fine folks could help us figure out the fog lamp situation.

photobucket works good ,otherwise you can post them to the site but they will be smaller version until there clicked on welcome, the old paste then left click use the 4th img on left when it says copied its ready to paste, you can open free acount to download from your computer ,or any of those picture host will work

that is the picture hear insert ,useing a host like photobucket leaves huge pictures or what ever size you want ,red is the best color i think ,i seen a 97 base model with 87k this late fall ,was $1500.00 i missed it, would have been a great resale car just needed some clutch work 5 speed hard tops are rare ,yours looks like a hard top but missing the front ground effects ,was gone in a few days ,an was very close to home, most of the kids know the sites for loading the bigger pics ,but it took me about a year to figure out

Thanks, I'll figure it out. This car was 1500.00 we got it for 1200. It also needs clutch work. Maybe it was the same car. We bought it in Northern mass. Yes it need the front ground effects, at one point it had a nose collision. The fog lamps are missing too. I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out if the wiring harness is still there. It has the fog lamp switch so I'm assuming they were there at some point. We just blacked out the head lights, still have the mouth opening to do and we added the RS emblems that were also missing.
