Default Hello from washington

Ive got a little project going on. A family member had a project car going He had put a 9" rear end in it that I built along with a stock ish TH 400 and he had built a a L88 clone motor but in 496" . Same cam heads with 11:1 compression L88 spec cam . 520-550 HP Rest of the car was trash. No rust but the interior has been stripped out, the body was in multicolored primers, glass falling out of the car. Pretty much a basket case with a good motor. He wanted the 9" back .

I elected to build a 4.10:1 Dana 60 for it, full back half , rollerized TH400 with 3000 stall converer, Change the cam to a 6500 RPM peak power roller and do a few further engine mods to kick it up to 650-700 HP, 10 point cage and full body sheetmetal replacement etc I'm hoping to get it on the road by late summer and painted by the end of the year. Heres a pick of the back end

Some interior work...

Guess the year...

I always tell people that once they experience the dry hot side they will never go back. This is the Palm Springs of Washington .

I get over there quite a bit, usually on my Harley though.
I went to high school on the dry side but in Bend Oregon, having friends and family there I get down that way quite often too.
I'm driving truck for a living these days, lately I've been hauling loads from Vancouver to the Wasco County landfill in The Dalles, always enjoy getting East of Hood River and out of the rain.
