Default 24mos to launch. The countdown begins now...

Long story short.... purchased '68 roller (as roller as roller can get) 4 years ago in hopes of having it ready for my 11yo (at the time) to drive. 4 years later I'm just now able to really start working on it (health, bills, kids etc...) my then 11yo will be 16 in January. Needless to say, I missed that launch date. Once again I have another 11yo with dreams of driving the '68. So you'd think I'd have 4.5 years to launch. Not so fast. The soon to be 16yo is wanting to drive it before he finishes HS, something about it not being fair if the little brother gets to drive and he doesn't.
So here I am, and believe me when I say I'm gonna need HELP getting this car ready, wait till you see the pic.

So here is a huge THANK YOU, in advance for your help and patience.

well a good suggestion is i am 67 babey an allways wanted a 67 302 car that in 68 was named the z28,what i relized was is that settleing for a 4th gen was better for me alot less on the pocket,at there age my family could not even think about buying me a 67,an then 30 + years later ,still not ,so my first desent car was 77 Eldorado ,then a 1980 monte carlo,so sometime i was best to settle for the car thats still very nice people loved the 77 pearl white with naked lady on the front at 19 ,an nice camaro people love them an its a 4th gen car there cheap for the most part with better hp then some first gen cars, when compared to 68 build ,cant allways have our cake an eat it too ,an for me those 2 cars were better then nothing,an now the 67 has passed when i consider i can own 3 to 4th gen cars for the price of one 68 resto ,sometimes we have to drop our standards ,i am sure of one thing i dont get any less atttention in my 95 moded z28 then i would a in a 67 if not more then if had a puke green 67,food for thought, another thing in my family was too you had to go to work an prove that you wanted to earn such a nice car nothing was a given it was earned,so as close as i have got was gen 1 engine an 95 z28 made to look like 98-02 ss clone,if you went that long on the first one odds are you may need to rethink it ,i undertsand a father wanting to give there kids nice cars ,but we have sometimes start somewhere that keeps us happy ,so it turns out my 95 can be my dream car until the next bucket list item, make sure if anything they help you with projects, these days some shcools have auto shop an a 1968 would be great a project car for the teens ,an they have few a cars they rebuild each year where i live an you got kids in shcool is the older one takeing Auto shop
