The best pic I have right now is the side view that is posted. If you want a different pic it will be a few days before I can get one. How do I get the ROTM under my name next to my avatar pic? Thanks!!

    craby and gorn

Got old intake out and now time for head work
New Engine is out of a 2009 Lacrosse with 10 miles on it
Looking to get a good valve job and some port matching done

What about port matching the upper and lower intake manifolds ??

Also I know that the heads cant be milled much but I heard about a angle milling .. what is it ?

are the head bolts use once then throw away ? would be weird I would think. So use the dampener that came with the 2009 motor. headers are going to be the stainless ones that are on ebay or worst case a set from pacesetter. We dont have a sniffer test in ohio or even a computer check is why I want to do away with eGR and maybe cataltic converter, I am going to try and use the 2009 alternator bracket with 2009 alternator and get away from the vintage 97 heater hose connections, Have you ever seen it done that way ... thanx for all the support too

    hey big guy

Almost got the engine ready for removal, weekends in cinti have been too cold for April for a driveway mechanic.

Questions for ya .. engine is from a 2009 lacrosse with 10 miles on it.

    replace head bolts
    repalce rear main seal
use the old dampener or new dampener .. automatic
besides having to get a tune can I remove the EGR system
where to cut off existing exhaust pipe .. going to headers

thanx for any advise weird to look at new motor and still see factory markins on the pistons

hey man, i just want you to know i'm not trying to argue with ya here. the kid doesn't know anything, and i'm trying to give him starter information, to realize everything has to have a circuit. any sort of tech talk seems to go right past him tho, so i'm off that topic-- just wanted to straighten me out a little lol

Where did you get your 4 bolt block from? And was it a short block or bare block? I'm not sure i I want to splay mine to a 4 bolt or get a 4 bolt, but I do want to build it myself.
