I'm just wondering what is the aprox 1/4 mile time on a 94 Camaro LT bone stock with a 4l60e, 2.78 gearing (I think), and engine is high mileage but runs well?

I am guessing around 14.3 & 98 MPH. The 2.78 gears are holding the car back. If it has the 3.23 gears then around 14.0 @ 100 MPH.
This is just a SWAG as each car is a little different and track conditions also differ.

Both gear sets are stock. The 3.23 gears come with the performance package option. There may be a tag on the rear end housing that shows what is installed. If you intenf don changing gears, you may want to go with 3.75s, and get a good boost off the line. To change rear end gears you need a new ring and pinion set, shims, crush sleeves, and the proper tools. This work is best left to a professional, because if it isn't done right it can cause big problems.

Pete, do you think I'd sacrifice much gas mileage if I did go to a 3.23? I'm thinking 3.75 is a lot more fun but with gas prices here in Hawaii being sky-hi 3.23 is more practical. Would my factory limited slip still be used or is a different carrier needed?
Thanks
