Trying to restore my 94 z to daily driver
Ok first things first. New to camaro forum and New to anything mechanical as far as working on cars. I am a maintenance technician by trade do I am mechanically inclined just never worked on cars. I recently purchased my 94z knowing that it would take some work to get her back into shape. For instance, it's s convertible and the back window needs replaced. The remaining to is in fair condition. Should I just replace the whole top or just window piece? The part of the head liner by the rear view mirror, the fabric has come unglued and the foam is dry rotted and falling off. Can that be fixed or does it need replaced? Other than the top where does one start on projects like this. Budget is a priority for the moment. Engine seems strong, transmission shifts as it should. Logically I would think then the best place to start would be the safety related items such as suspension, breaking etc... Any direction or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and I think it's going to be fun to be part of the camaro family. BTW, the 69 camaro is my favorite car ever! Thanks guys.
