Hey guys. Noob to the forum. I did search, but couldn't find an exact answer
Got a 97 that came with headers and full borla exhaust 3"
Muffler blew and it seems I have to replace the system ,as you can't buy /install muffler seperately
Found a borla system for 93-95. My mechanic says it will fit my car, that they are the same
Is this true

4th gen did not come stock with headers or borla exhaust. its aftermarket. i find it hard to believe you cant replace muffler only. look on line, they sell mufflers and it looks like you can get one and weld the elbow to it to make it fit. post some pictures. i would have a look at other cat backs. magnaflow, flowmaster. i like my corsa but its spendy.

 

lol....I don't think he's saying he bought the car new that way, but that it had headers and Borla exhaust put on by the previous owner.
